Scott Kubicek
I was born and raised on a family farm south of Owatonna. My first job was helping neighbors with anything from baling hay to mowing lawn. After graduating from high school, I went to the University of Minnesota and graduated after two years with Associate Degree in Diversified Ag. After working a couple of years in the Ag industry I decided to look for something different. I joined Advantage Cabinets in December 1994. I began working as an installer and counter top builder. After buying the company in January of 1996, I continued to work in production for many years until the company grew large enough that we needed more management. I currently oversee the entire company and wear many different hats. I am fortunate to have hired quality employees that handle most of the daily operations and I can now focus on strengthening our company for the long term. I have been married for 13 years and have 4 children from ages 1 to 7. Most of my spare time is spent with the kids and the many activities that go along with that. I also enjoy snowmobiling, boating, camping, golfing, and believe it or not spending time at my mother-in-laws house (She lives on a lake in northern Wisconsin!!) 
Tina Kubicek
I began working for Advantage Cabinets part-time after my husband Scott and I purchased the business in January of 1996. In June of 2000, I joined the staff full-time after leaving my career as a Network Services Supervisor at Federated Insurance. I graduated from St. Mary’s University of Winona with a degree in Business Marketing and an emphasis in Computer Information Systems. These days I am working only part-time at Advantage Cabinets while I spend most of my time taking care of our 4 active children. I enjoy camping with our family, playing volleyball, skiing and volunteering on the School Board at my children’s school. One of the biggest ironies in my life has been that I was born and raised in the windy city of Chicago and I now reside on a dead end gravel road! One of the biggest highlights in my life was traveling to Poland, to the small country village that my father grew up in, and actually walking through the house he was born in! |
